Mr. Bubbles sculpted
face and comb were based on the Polish White Crested Black.
Polish Crest feathers grow from a knob or small dome on the
top of the skull. The crest feathers are fairly neat and rounded
on the females and on the males they are more extravagant and
less neat in appearance.
This look was very hard to achieve
with the materials I was using and once Mr. Bubbles was brought
to the painting stage it was decided that he looked like Albert
Einstein who also had quite a hairdo. I knew this chicken would
be wearing clothes and it would have to be something that would
imply a scientific background but also reflect a sense of humor.
This is why he wears a lab coat and bubble neck tie.
